Charlie’s Collision and Customs Inc. is a family owned enterprise providing quality work backed by more than 30 years of experience. They specialize in collision repair and vintage restoration…but have been known to paint just about anything that comes their way.
Charlie Swain, who opened Charlie’s Collision & Customs Inc, had a long history of working in the auto-body field. He got his start working for Paul and Nancy Rosignol at Schalk’s Body Shop when he was 15 years old. Charlie worked for Paul for 27 years and when Paul retired Charlie bought the business from him. He opened Charlie’s Collision & Customs Inc. in November 2000. He bought the property where “Charlie’s” is located now and turned it from a bean field into an auto-body shop. From November 2000 until March 2001 he rented shop space from Paul while their current building was being built. The Swain’s have been at their current location for more than 20 years.
In 2004, Shawn Swain, Charlie’s son, began working in the shop and has been in the family business since. Shawn took over the business in 2020 and is now the owner. Charlie and Karen have since retired.
